You can’t control those forces of nature but most people are wishing extra hard for good weather on the day of their wedding. If there is any way possible for wishes to come true then each happy couple would have the perfect setting for their Big Day, but alas, inclement weather can often intrude upon the festivities.
It may not make as big a difference when the wedding and reception are taking place indoors, but an outdoor event will require a little extra planning just in case rainy weather decides to crash your party.
Umbrellas, canopy covers and covers that protect the walking area should be available at a moment’s notice. These are only able to offer a limited degree of protection from those rainy weather elements however.
Always have a back-up plan simmering so that you can go to Plan B if a thunderstorm or heavy deluge is imminent. This will allow you to make an easy transition from an outdoor event to an indoor setting.
You should keep in mind which preparations will need to be changed in the event rain intrudes upon your wedding day ceremony. Clothing must be protected, food and beverages may need to be moved to a dry location, your guests comfort must be addressed and even your hairdo could become a target of rainy day frizz’.
Just knowing what changes may be needed will give you the upper hand if the weather decides not to cooperate. Being prepared means that you will be able to maintain your composure and happiness even though the setting for your wedding may not be the exact one you had envisioned.
